Forgotten Woman

Cleo Sylvestre returns as creole nurse Mary Seacole, recently voted one of our top ten Great Britons. Her profound knowledge of herbal remedies took her all over the world including The Crimea where her loving care and medical knowledge relieved the suffering of many a wounded soldier.

Forgotten Woman, much acclaimed during Black History Month last year, was recently performed at the House of Lords at a fundraising event for a permanent Mary Seacole Memorial.
