Rough Winds presents the world premiere of
Hermes
 |
 |
by Jehane Markham
music by Pete Letanka
directed by Stuart Barker
designed by Stuart Targett
Composer and jazz pianist Pete Letanka, teams up with poet Jehane
Markham to create a quicksilver piece of music theatre about one
of the coolest of dudes in Greek mythology.
Hold your breath as the liar with the lyre flies rings round his
big brother Apollo, but manages to land up in favour with his dad,
Zeus, and take off with his witch of a bitch, Hecate. From night
club to Arcadian fields and beyond, let the music take you there
as sex, jealousy, power, have the secrets of the myth revealed.
