Set in The Royal Court Theatre of Meiningen in about 1875, this dazzling one man show uncovers the moments when the seeds of “real acting” were sown, predecessors of naturalism and Stanislavski. All four characters including Ellen Franz, the leading lady are played by young German Ben Bela Boehm, whose many credits include leading roles with Staatstheaters Braunschweig and Lüneburg, and long running TV soaps in Germany. Rob Ballard started his career as a comedy double act with Eddie Izzard, he has since written and adapted over twenty plays. Time Out, Edinburgh Fringe and London Fringe Best comedy award winner. “undoubtedly the silliest thing you are likely to see this year,
but that is not a bad thing” “If you’ve forgotten the power of theatre, then go” “pythonesque ... hyperbolic stage direction.” Performed by Ben Bela Boehm Designed by Nigel Hook |
